Knee Pain

Knee Replacement

Severe pain in the knee joint is commonly treated with potent medication and physical therapy. When these measures do not suffice, a knee replacement may be a viable option.

Experience Lasting Relief

The surgeons will make an incision that extends past the knee joint in order to begin a dissection that will expose the joint. The damaged portions of the femur and the fibula are sectioned and are then prepared for implant placement.

In a knee replacement there are two components: the femur implant and the tibial implant. An artificial material that mimics the action of the menisci will separate these components.
